LED Strip Lighting
1 December 2020
Seen everywhere from cafes to clothes retailers, home offices to wardrobes, LED strip lighting can be used in both commercial and residential projects. Installed correctly, LED lighting can subtly set the mood in a space like no other, because of their low-profile size and flexibility. They’re also super efficient, making them the ideal choice for energy-conscious lighting.
Known by many names; LED strip lights, LED tape lights, LED ribbon lights, the list goes on, but they’re all essentially the same, and it’s how easy they are to install that makes them so popular.
Tailored brightness: LED Strip Density can offer you different levels of brightness that can really add to the design of a particular room. You’re looking out for LED’s per meter. For example ‘30 LED’s per meter’ will offer you just that; 30 LED lights per meter of strip lighting, and naturally ‘60 LEDs per meter’, will output double the brightness.
The nature of the strip can create ‘spots’ of light that show up. Installing the strips into extrusions can combat this to give it a more professional finish. These aluminium housing boxes diffuse the strip light output, making it more even, and the strips easily adhere to the bottom of the track. We are able to install these tracks into cabinetry so they are virtually undetectable (always get these sorts of plans to your cabinet maker before they proceed with your work though).
Colour: You also have the freedom to further personalise your space with every colour of the rainbow, it’s really personal preference. You could add some subtle warmth to a brick wall, for example, or you could absolutely jazz your office space up by using a multi-coloured strip that changes colour every few seconds, the choice is yours. Neutral tones are also available with a range of temperatures from cool white to warm white. In fact the options are so endless you might want to engage a lighting designer to make sense of it all for you.
Installation: Always hire an electrical for electrical installation works, especially if you’re wanting to hardwire them.
We can consult on placement and the ambiance you’re after and install these LED strip lights into your home or business. As Licensed, Master Electricians, we can ensure all installations comply with safety standards, and our work and materials are of the best quality.
