Floor Boxes - Accessing Power With Convenience

You’d be forgiven for not noticing them due to their discreet nature, but floor boxes have proven to be an essential part of commercial spaces. Particularly useful for running cables uniformly, floor boxes are a compact and practical source of data and power, and can be recessed into concrete, timber, and floating floors alike.
Power and data are their obvious uses, but did you know that they can also house phone lines and audio/visual outlets? They really are a very practical solution in open plan areas.
Table boxes can also be installed on boardroom tables, enabling you to maintain a clean, tidy look to your boardroom or meeting table, giving the room an impressive edge, especially for presentations.
There are a number of ways to install floor boxes: use of a floor duct, under carpet, ramps and speed humps, however these are all visible. You can also drill a hole in the floor and run cables under the floor to the location, however you may need access to the tenancy below, and if you have a slab, it will need to be able to be drilled for chasing (for example, if it is a tensioned slab, it may not be possible, suspended slabs are more accessible).
